Wonderful holiday

I wanted to take my children to a place l loved visiting during my childhood. When we arrived we were greeted by David & Helen, who were so kind and helpful. We stayed for one week and had such a wonderful time, the children loved staying their too, they took full advantage of the playground on the grounds. We all had such an amazing week and would love to visit their again. With such great things to see and do, beautiful beaches and stunning countryside.

Hello Rebecca and Simon. So pleased Devon lived up to your childhood memories. We enjoyed having you in Palm Tree Cottage and hope you will come back soon. Thanks for your feedback. David and Hellen.

Haytor

I booked this as a surprise for a week away with my fiancé and our room , Haytor was amazing . The room was spotless and had everything you could want ...tea and coffee making facilities , microwave, cooker, en suite shower with flashy shower head that we both loved and a huge comfy bed. Oh did I mention the stunning views out to sea and across the open fields , awesome . Our hosts Hellen and David were a mine of information and so friendly with it , they truly couldn't have been more helpful .We also used the bus from right outside for the "Round Robin" tour on a steam train and ferry amongst others which my fiancé loved , such lovely places all close by . we shall come and stay again for sure and recommend it highly

Hello Deanna and Kev. Glad you enjoyed Haytor apartment. As you say the views are quite spectacular. There are many more things for you to do on your next visit. Thanks for feedback David and Hellen

Amazing time

Just back home after an amazing 2 week stay at Devon Palms. I have not been in this area since I was a kid and it was all new to my wife. so we picked here as it is centrally located and easy to get to Torquay ,Brixham and Dartmouth with Dartmoor on the doorstep and Exeter for great shopping .
The accommodation was fantastic [Honeysuckle bungalow], what can I say? Our own cottage in the country lovely views , beautiful well kept gardens and our own outside space so we had breakfast outdoors most mornings.
Our hosts David and Hellen were amazing , loads of information is available here but their local knowledge was great with lots of other places to see . We loved the fact that we could just hop on a bus right outside to Torquay and then via ferry to Brixham.
The whole area is choc-a-bloc with the most beautiful picturesque towns and villages not to mention the coast path walks to stunning bays and chocolate box pubs .We will certainly be back here again to stay at this lovely place

Dear Mr and Mrs Thorner. So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and revisited some of your old holiday spots. It was a pleasure to have you staying at Devon Palms. If you are back this way please look us up. Just don't leave it another 30 years! Thanks David and Hellen

Great holiday accommodation

Fabulous location for lots of different local activities (including coasteering). The cottage was perfectly equipped for our family to vary between eating out and cooking too. It was also clean and well kept. Plenty of space for the kids to run about outside too.
The walk down ‘steep hill’ was worth it for the local pub and the delightful secluded beach.
The friendly welcome from David and Hellen made the stay even more perfect - thank you.

Hello Angela. Nice to know you enjoyed this part of Devon. The Coasteering proves a great hit with all who dare to try! Palm Tree cottage id perfect for family groups. Look forward to seeing you back at Devon Palms soon. David and Hellen.

Rippon Tor

We had a lovely stay at Devon Palms, David and Hellen were the perfect hosts, indeed they had stepped in last minute, when other accommodation plans went awry. The apartment was very nice and a good size except for the bathroom, though it didn't particularly bother us, as we were only there 2 nights. Great location, dog walks just across the road and just off the SWCP. We would certainly return without hesiatation.

Alan and Hazel

Hello Alan and Hazel. Glad we could help out at short notice and that you enjoyed your time at Devon Palms. If you are back in this part of the world we would love to see you again. David and Hellen.

Copper Tree Cottage

Thankyou to David and Helen for the welcome we had on arrival. A very friendly couple who gave us a guided tour around the cottage, which was perfect for our family of 5!! It was comfy, clean and had everything we needed for our week's holiday. The garden is a fantastic area infront of the cottages allowing children yo play safely on their own inview of parents. The biggest suprise was at night when the 'firefly lights' came on in the garden to which our youngest thought was brilliant!!
Set in a great area in easy reach of Torquay, the sandy beach at Dawlish, and the best beach across the road at Maidencombe!
Certainly recommend staying at Devon Palms, thanks David and Helen.

Hello Richard. Thank you for the positive feedback. Always nice to know our guests enjoyed their time at Devon Palms. We look forward to seeing you again. David and Hellen.

Amazing break

Never had experienced hospitality like Helen and David showed outstanding service !
We just recently had a long weekend break, the apartment we stayed was clean and newly painted with all facilities in the apartment where you can eat in or out,the owners I never seen it done that the hospitality they could not do enough,
Location was amazing views and central where you can go either way to Torquay across the boat to Brixham where we ate and as a ex chef the best fish restaurant,
Teignmouth was opposite direction, location of buses 20 mins max 30.
If you go Brixham cross by the boat amazing view of the harbour and only £3 pounds return.
Thank you ever so much especially Helen who has became a friend.
We will be back !

THESE ARE NEW OWNERS And the place is amazing especially Top Apartment , For the value we paid it was a beautiful place to stay and so peaceful with beautiful views.

Hello Jax. Thank you for your kind words. We enjoyed having you and the girls to stay. Hopefully if you are back in Devon you think of coming to stay at Devon Palms again. All the best David and Hellen.

Stayed at Palm Cottage. It was a beautiful cottage with everything you need for your holiday. Also had good views. Hellen and David made you feel very welcome and gave advise on local attractions. Short walk to local pub with good meals. Would recommend Devon Palms to family and friends.

Our stay at Devon Palms

We enjoyed our two week stay very much and David and Hellen were friendly and helpful. On our arrival David greeted us and immediately told us we could have an upgrade from Huccaby Tor (a one bedroom apartment) to Copper Tree Cottage (a three bedroom house) for our first week due to a workman starting work in the apartment above ours the following Monday. As our daughter Helen was arriving the next day for one week the upgrade was much appreciated particularly by Helen who enjoyed having a double bedroom instead of bed settee!! Both properties were spotless, well furnished and lovely bedding. Our little Westie Daisy settled down well and soon made herself at home. We were not strangers to the area and enjoyed visiting all our favourites in particular Salcome, Dartmouth, Totnes, and Brixham the latter best by boat from Torquay (saves the drive through heavy traffic). We also did the round robin trip from Totnes not having done this for quite a few years (best done on a good weather day). Facilities to dry towels would be helpful in case weather poor and a better heater in Huccaby Tor may be required if staying in cooler weather(neither of these points mattered to us as we enjoyed good weather. We wish David and Hellen every success in their venture and future plans for Devon Palms😊

Dear John and Elaine. Thank you for your good wishes. We fully intend to keep improving the property and facilities. We do have a tumble dryer for guest us and apologise if this was not pointed out. We do tend to take the electric heaters out during the summer as they are not needed. Many thanks David and Hellen.
